I work in IT at Miami-Dade County, supporting 500+ devices, the networks between them, and the courtroom systems on top. When something breaks, I reproduce it, narrow it down, and verify the fix.

That’s what got me into cybersecurity: finding what doesn’t belong, and understanding how a system behaves before trusting it. I have CCNA and Security+, practice on TryHackMe, and build apps in my free time. One of them is QR Scevio, which checks QR codes and suspicious links before you open them.

Next: security operations and incident response.

Principles

01
Don’t assume. Check the facts first.
02
Make failure repeatable. If you can reproduce it, you can understand it.
03
Write it down. The next person shouldn’t start from zero.

If I haven’t verified it, I won’t pretend I have.
